Focus on Ecological Agriculture

The eye-catching professional themed exhibition pavilions   

In 2016, the 4th Heilongjiang Green Food Industry Expo focuses on agroecology, by closely surrounding the implementation of the general requirements put forward by the General Secretary Xi during his inspection in Heilongjiang province. Themed by "Ecological Agriculture Leading Healthy Life", a total of 930 enterprises from 9 countries and regions, 28 provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities) and municipalities with independent planning status under the National Social and Economic Development participated in this Expo, including 2 foreign Fortune-500 companies and 9 Chinese Fortune-500 companies. The total transaction volume reached approximately RMB 4.3 billion, 417 cooperation projects having been signed and 31.4 billion catties of grain (including intentional) ordered. 117 well-known food upstream and downstream enterprises and business associations including Fonterra, Beijing Ershang Group, Beijing Grain Group, Yili, and JD.com participated in the event.

This session of Expo emphasizes the direction of professional exhibition convening, setting up a rice theme exhibition pavilions, food packaging machinery and equipment exhibition pavilions, straw comprehensive utilization exhibition pavilions, Internet plus agriculture exhibition pavilions, ecological agriculture entrepreneurship and innovation exhibition pavilions, etc. It affords a display of the whole industry chain connecting production, processing and sales of agricultural products, which is lengthways to the end and is transversely complete. Among them, the Internet plus agriculture exhibition pavilions displays the real-time transaction information about national agricultural products throughout the whole process, and provides farmers with a comprehensive service of "finance plus agricultural materials plus agricultural technology plus circulation" on the spot.

In addition, Ma Xiaohe, former vice president of the Macroeconomic Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission was invited to attend the 3rd China Modern Food Industry Development Strategy Summit and the Heilongjiang International Green Food Industry Development Forum. Mr. Ma interpreted in-depth the values of “Gold &silver Mountains” of Heilongjiang’s ecological resources by combining supply-side reforms. The experts, scholars and entrepreneurs, including Sun Jie, Chairman of Beijing Ershang Group, Huang Zuhui, Dean of Zhejiang University's Rural Development Research Institute, also gave keynote speeches. More than 110 celebrated domestic food companies and more than 50 major news media participated in the Forum. 

The most impressive thing is that the agroecology entrepreneurship and innovation exhibition area exhibited the new ideas of the personnel participating in the entrepreneurship and innovation, and their latest technologies and new products. This section highlighted the core values of entrepreneurship and innovation by displaying the products of 44 companies. 11 entrepreneurship and innovation forums were convened, while more than 10 cooperation projects were signed on the spot.

As a large grain-producing province, Heilongjiang province’s annual straw output ranks among the top in China. During the exhibition, 20 comprehensive utilization projects of straw were announced at the 2016 Heilongjiang Straw Industry Conference of China, and 4 projects including the comprehensive utilization of agricultural waste and livestock manure were signed. The Straw Industry Alliance of Heilongjiang Province was established which would provide convenient conditions for comprehensive utilization of straw.
