On November 19th, 2021, Tan Baicheng, vice president of CCPIT Heilongjiang met with Mr. Brelkin, Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin and his delegation.  

Mr. Tan Baicheng first, on behalf of CCPIT Heilongjiang (International Expo Development and Promotion Center of Heilongjiang Province), extended his welcome to Mr. Brykin for his latest appointment as Commercial Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Oshepkov, Consul General of Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin and relevant colleagues for their actively participating in and supporting the “Key exhibitions” to be held by Heilongjiang province. 

Besides, Mr. Tan gave a profound analysis of the current sound momentum of Heilongjiang-Russia economic and trade cooperation, and systematic reviewed the good cooperation foundation of the close contact and positive interaction between the center and Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Harbin. Mr. Tan also introduced in detail the arrangement related to the upcoming The 1st China (Heilongjiang) International Green Food Industry Expo and the 4th China Heilongjiang International Rice Festival.

Mr. Tan Baicheng pointed out that the year 2022 marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese-Russian Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development. He sincerely welcomed and invited the relevant personnel in Consulate General of Russia in Harbin to seize this opportunity to continue organizing and participating in the “four major exhibitions” in 2022, making joint efforts for bilateral economic and trade cooperation and exchanges.  

Mr. Brykin expressed that over the years, CCPIT Heilongjiang and International Expo Development and Promotion Center of Heilongjiang Province have been making positive contributions to the deepening of practical cooperation between Russia and China in various fields. Currently, economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies are affected by the epidemic. With the ports closed, exhibitions have become the only way for bilateral trade cooperation and exchanges. Hence the China-Russia Expo and Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair set up a broad stage for cooperation and exchanges with Russian companies.  In light of this, Mr. Brykin sincerely hoped that the two sides could maintain communications and make new contributions and achievements to bilateral strategic cooperation in the new era on the basis of the existing sound cooperation. At the same time, Mr. Brykin cordially invited the personnel of CCPIT Heilongjiang to participate in the online Russian Coal Promotion Fair to be held on December 8th. He also mentioned that four promotion events would be held in 2022, with themes surrounding aquatic products, agriculture, forestry, import and export of trade, among which the promotion of import and export of trade would be held under the framework of the 32nd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair.  

The two sides exchanged views and suggestions as to the issues relative to participation and preparation of the 32nd Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair and the 2nd International Green Food Industry Expo. 

Tang Hongyu, deputy director of the International Expo Development and Promotion Center of Heilongjiang Province, and comrades from relevant departments of the Center also attended the meeting.
